The stare of a defeated leopard in the forest of Kumana National Park. His eyes remain fixed on a herd of spotted deer he had spent the past hour silently stalking. The deer were tipped off by alarm calls from nearby monkeys, triggering an early chase. In the end, the deer narrowly escaped the hunt, leaving the leopard to contemplate his next move.
