Borderline comical how lucky this sighting was. We found this bear at 3am asleep on the ice, quite a distance away. I joked it’d be rude if he didn’t wake up and walk over to us. To everyone's surprise, he did exactly that... After catching our scent, he got up and confidently strode right toward us, checking if we were on the breakfast menu.
